The Tewaycell 32kWh LiFePO4 Home Backup Battery (51.2V 628Ah) — also available in 28kWh (560Ah) — is a high-capacity home energy storage system built with Grade A+ 314Ah/280Ah lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells (16S2P). Q: Do I need an inverter?
A: Yes. This is a battery storage unit only. A compatible hybrid inverter (e.g. Growatt, Goodwe, Deye, SofarSolar, Voltronic, Victron, SRNE, Megarevo, PYLONTECH, Luxpowertek, Sorortec, SMA, GINLONG, MUST, TBB, STUDER, Solis, etc.) is required to connect solar panels, the grid and your home electrical system. Q: How safe is a lithium iron phosphate battery?
A: Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) is one of the safest battery chemistries available, with excellent thermal stability and low risk of thermal runaway. The Tewaycell home energy storage battery adds multiple layers of protection: a smart BMS (Battery Management System) that monitors voltage, current and temperature; a built-in active balancer that keeps cell balanced; and a temperature-sensitive fire extinguisher that automatically responds to overheating for extra peace of mind.
Q: How many batteries can I connect in parallel?
A: Up to 15 units of the same model and brand for optimal performance to expand your home energy storage capacity. If you plan to connect multiple units, we recommend ordering them together.
Q: What's included in the package? Do I need to buy extra accessories?
A: Each unit includes: 1× Tewaycell 28kWh / 32kWh battery, 1× pair of positive & negative battery cables, 1× RS232 communication cable, 1× user manual, and secure wooden-case packaging. If you order 2 or more units for parallel connection, we also include battery-to-battery communication cables. And you need to buy a compatible hybrid inverter.
Q: Where can I install the battery? Indoor or outdoor?
A: Designed for indoor installation in a dry, ventilated area such as a garage, basement or utility room, this LiFePO4 home battery operates from -20°C to 60°C for discharge and 0°C to 45°C for charging. Avoid direct sunlight, rain, extreme humidity and confined spaces without ventilation. The floor-standing design with caster wheels makes it easy to position and move.
Q: What is the cycle life?
A: LiFePO4 batteries are known for their long deep cycle life — typically 6000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge, far exceeding lead-acid or NMC batteries.
